Administrative / biographical background:

This section of the union covered Cheshire, Worcestershire, South Durham and North Yorkshire, Annual General and Representative Meetings were held at each of these locations in turn, with occasional executive and sub-council meetings being held in Winsford. Winsford meetings were held at the Brunner Guildhall (see LOX 17 for records 1899-1929). There were strong connections with the Winsford Saltmakers' Association (LOU 5). The relevant union of the last two items listed has not been identified but the volumes were stored with the rest of the collection at the Brunner Guildhall.
